About Me

I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to help individuals, couples, and families become more hopeful and in charge of their lives. My approach to counseling is both cognitive and emotion focused with the conviction that each individual can use their inherent strengths to successfully cope with life challenges. It is a positive, optimistic and nonjudgmental orientation.

My training is in child, couple and family therapy. I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Masters in Child, Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Seattle. My training and clinical internships include: Antioch University Community Counseling Clinic working with adults and couples to successfully move through issues of depression, anxiety and relational difficulties, and Renton Youth and Family Services where I counseled adolescents, children and their families for both moderate and severe mental health issues. I also have additional training in Emotion Focused Therapy with Couples.

I am an associate clinical member with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a licensed marriage and family therapist associate in the state of Washington, and a registered marriage and family therapist intern in the state of Oregon.
